About the Job

Second Harvest Community Food Bank, a non-profit food distribution center

located in St. Joseph, Missouri is seeking candidates to fill three full-time positions in fulfilling its mission to feed the hungry in Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas through a network of Partner Agencies and direct service programs



and engage the region in the fight to end hunger.



Chief Development Officer



This position is responsible for the development of financial resources for the

organization and oversees fundraising and development efforts. Duties include

coordinating all fundraising campaigns, management of donor relations,



grant management, and oversight of marketing and media relations.



Seeking Candidates with:

• Bachelor ' s degree with a focus in public relations, marketing, or other

related fields

• Two (2) years of related job experience required with education and experience

sufficient to successfully perform job duties

• Demonstrated experience and success in nonprofit fundraising

• Capital campaign experience

• Grant writing experience

• Supervisory experience

• Ability to work independently and as a team to meet goals and objectives

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

• CFRE designation a plus



Finance and Administration Coordinator



This position is responsible for the facilitation of financial transactions and

provides human resources and administrative support for the organization. Duties include processing of accounts payables and receivables, providing support for development of an annual budget, providing support with employee benefit

offerings, coordination of employee onboarding process, support for government



and grant reporting requirements, and other duties as assigned.



Seeking Candidates with:

• Bachelor ' s degree in accounting or similar field required

• Two (2) years of related job experience required with education and experience

sufficient to successfully perform job duties

• Ability to work independently and as a team to meet goals and objectives

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Quickbooks



Volunteer Coordinator



This position is responsible for the coordination of all volunteer efforts to support the organization. Duties include volunteer recruitment and training efforts,

developing volunteer recognition efforts, and supporting programs of Second

Harvest with volunteer needs including assistance with operating our on-site



pantry.



Seeking Candidates with:

• Bachelor ' s degree

• Two (2) years of related job experience with education and experience sufficient

to successfully perform job duties

• Ability to work independently and as a team to meet goals and objectives

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
